Mining is a way to distribute ATTO to Folding@Home contributors. It is separate from the process that confirms Atto payments.

Contribute

Your computer runs research work.

Folding@Home uses participants’ computing power for medical research. Choose how much CPU or GPU capacity to make available in its client.

Complete

Completed work earns points.

Folding@Home reports points for completed, successfully uploaded work units. Incomplete work does not contribute to the reward score.

Receive

Your contribution sets your share.

Each distribution cycle divides the mining pool proportionally among eligible team members, using their reported points for that period.

Atto payments use Open Representative Voting (ORV), not competitive proof-of-work mining. Each transaction still includes lightweight anti-spam work. See network confirmation metrics →

Distribution is periodic, not a payment every minute. The calculation uses the elapsed time since the previous update and eligible contributions during that period. Read the reward calculation.

    Get your wallet address.

    Use an Atto wallet you control to receive rewards. Copy its public address and check it carefully.

    Configure Folding@Home.

    Use your Atto address as your username, without atto://, and join team 1066107. Follow the guide to add a passkey.

    Start folding.

    Complete and upload work units. Monitor points in Folding@Home and any distributed rewards in your Atto wallet.
